Summerhill travelled to Grangegodden on Sunday morning in the hopes of picking up their first 2 points in the Premier Championship but this was not to be as the home side finished the stronger in the end. Summerhill went in at the break two points up (1.3 to 0.4) with the goal coming from Cathal Ryan after 25 minutes. There was little in it up to the 27th minute of the second half when Gaeil Colmcille hit the net from a penalty, this put 5 points in it and it was too much for the ‘hill to pull back at that stage of the game. A big positive for Summerhill was the return to football of Caolan Young who has been out of football for the past 11 months..Summerhill now meet Dunshaughlin in relegation.
