A-League Div 1 Rd 4

Round 4 of the A League Div 1. saw Summerhill travel the long journey to Millbrook to play Oldcastle on Sunday morning, and  it was Declan McCabes side  who took  home the points. In a game that saw 8 goals and 29 points scored you would be forgiven for thinking this was an exciting game, it had spells but overall it wasn’t a great game. First half goals from Ross Ryan (17 mins), and Conor Lyons (21 mins) sent the hill in at the break 2-10 to Oldcastles 1-2 to the good.
In the first minute of the second half Kevin Ryan scored a goal and this left too big a gap for Oldcastle to close, despite them scoring two more goals the game was well and truly over as a contest, and further goals from Diarmaid McCabe and Conor Lyons sealed the deal for the ‘hill.
Next up is a home game for Summerhill against near neighbours Moynalvey on Sunday 10th March at 11am.
