U21 Championship Rd 1

Summerhill qualified for the U21 quarter final with a hard fought win against Seneschalstown in Dunganny on Friday evening. Weather conditions were very difficult with persistant rain and a strong wind blowing across the pitch.
Three first half Summerhill goals, two coming from Conor Lyons and the other from Conor Frayne, left them in a strong position at half time leading by 3-3 to 0-4.
Summerhill added the first two points of the second hald to extend the lead to ten points but Seneschalstown should great spirit to claw their way back int the game with a series of unanswered scores to reduce the deficate to a single point with full time approaching. alate point from cian Devlin finally secured the win for Summerhill on a score line of 3-7 to 1-11.
