U17 League Rd 1

Summerhill made a good start to their Div 3A U17 campaign with a convincing win over their Stamullen rivals in Summerhill on Saturday evening. Played in difficult underfoot conditions the ‘Hill lads settled early and were well worth their halftime lead. The home side had a strong breeze at their backs for the second half and continued where they left off, although St.Pats had the better of the exchanges late in the game when grabbing a couple of goals to put some respectability on the scoreboard. Six different Summerhill players made their mark in the scoring stakes, but most notable was the teamwork and linkup play from defense to attack throughout the game.
