Summerhill beat Longwood on a score line of 4-23 to 0-8 in Group B of Fairyhouse Steel SFC on Saturday evening. Going into this game Summerhill were in third place in the group but winning by 27 points and with other results going their way they avoided a preliminary quarter final and go into quarter final to play the second placed team in Group C. 

Summerhill lead from start to finish in this  game going in at the break 2-12 to 0-2, with the two goals coming from Conor Frayne on the third and twenty second minutes of the half.

With this game being well and truly over as a contest at half time, further goals from Liam Shaw and Kevin Ryan in the second half added to bringing the ‘Hills score difference up and finishing at the top of the group.
