Full-Time Score: Summerhill 4-9  O’Mahoneys 0-10

While missing four regular first team players for last night SFC encounter against OMahoneys John Lyons men got stuck into the task at hand .There was a welcome return last night for Sean Dalton to the Summerhill Team.Coupled with an excellent Senior Debut for Diarmuid McCabe who took to midfield beside Micheàl Byrne Summerhill were first on the scoreboard with a Liam Shaw Point. Though wasteful with some wides , points from Barry Dardis , McCabe and Sean Dalton had them well in control of this game. An excellent pass from Padraig Geraghty to Seanie Dalton who made no mistake in finding the back of the net. Minutes later another sublime pass from Geraghty found big brother Davy which resulted in Summerhill’s second goal . Half Time 2-05 Navan 0-3.

Despite 2 fine points from Dardis on the restart The Navan side did creep back into this game 2-08 to 0-8 on the 45th minute . Excellent defending from Iarla Hughes and Willie Ryan steadied Summerhill . A well timed move by Cian Devlin who found David Larkin resulted in a brilliant goal. While Navan were competitive to the end Summerhill continued to punish them . A fourth goal and a second for Davy Dalton in the dying minutes had Summerhill sailing back to the top of Group B. All credit to John Lyons and this team though depleted, rose to the challenge. Next up Na Fianna on Saturday 25th at 4pm.
