The club was chosen as one of the winner of the Beko Club Bua excellence award for September. These awards aim to promote best practice on and off the field and reward clubs for their commitment across a wide range of areas in the promotion of Gaelic games. The club was presented with €1,500 worth of O’Neills equipment by Jim Bolger, Chairman of the  Leinster Council in Portlaoise.
