Over the years, many great footballers have togged out in the Blue and Gold. Here are just a few of the footballers who have brought fame to both club and county:

Mick Lyons

Captain of the Meath All-Ireland winning team on 1987, and one of the outstanding full-backs in Gaelic football history.

Mattie Kerrigan

Winner of an All-Ireland Medal with Meath in 1967. Player, selector and coach during Summerhill's legendary four-in-a-row in the 1970's.

Bill Shaw

A pivotal player in Summerhill's Junior triumph in 1931. Captained Meath to National League success in 1933 and played on the Leinster team that won Railway Cups in 1933 and 1935.

Paddy Daly

Paddy was instrumental in the growth of Summerhill G.F.C, serving for almost 30 years on the committee.
