Summerhill finished strongly in their opening A-League game of the 2022 season. The match was played in glorious sunny if slightly cold condition in Summerhill on a pitch in good condition for the time of year. St Peters got off to the perfect start with a goal in the first minute. In a game where defenses were on top scores were hard to come by throughout the match.

Summerhill trailed by 4 points with lets than 10 minutes remaining but showed great spirit to hit 4 unanswered points to get the merited draw. Two Conor Lyons frees, a fine effort from Diarmuid McCabe and a point from Kevin Ryan with virtually the last kick of the game ensured the points were shared. 

Next up is a game away to neighbours Na Fianna in 2 weeks.
