A-League Div 1 Rd 7

Summerhill and Dunboyne played out a hard fought entertaining game in ACF’A’League in Summerhill on Wednesday night, with the home side coming out on top to put them joint second after seven rounds. The visitors raced into an early lead scoring 1-2 inside the first five minutes, then two goals from Conor Frayne and Davy Dalton put the ‘Hill ahead by a point, but Dunboyne pulled away again scoring a further eleven points in the first half to Summerhill’s five points to leave the halftime score Dunboyne 1-13 to Summerhill 2-5.
The visitors increased their lead to seven points early in the second half, but  Summerhills never say die attitude saw them claw back points and when David Larkin hit the net midway through the second half the sides were level.. Both sides traded points and with time almost up Dunboyne scored a goal  to leave two points in it and it looked like the game was over, but with four minutes injury time to play Summerhill kept their heads and got the scores needed to win the game.
