After suffering a heavy defeat last week at the hands of Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Summerhill had a home game this morning v Skryne ,which they won on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-9, in what was a spirited and determined performance. Two goals coming in the nineteenth and twenty first minute, from Eamon McDonnell and Conor Lyons and points from the Liam Shaw( 0-3) and Diarmaid McCabe (0-1), the ‘hill went in at the break one point up. (2-4 to 1-6).
The game seesawed in the second half and with time running out Summerhill found themselves a point behind. An equalising point from Padraigh Geraghty and a tremendous point from play from Liam Shaw sealed victory for the home side.
Next up for Summerhill is a trip to Millbrook to play Oldcastle on Sunday 24th at 3pm
