It was back to Senior Football business after a busy Feile weekend in Summerhill .John Lyons men made the trip over to Skyrne on Monday evening for this all important match in search of a League Semi-Final Spot..
Skyrne were first off the blocks with a fine score and it took Summerhill until the 5th minute to settle into the game when Davy Dalton found the back of the net , following David Larkin’s well timed interception on Skryne possession..points followed from Conor Frayne and Larkin and the game began to flow. Donal Feeley was replaced by Barry Dardis on the 15th minute as blood sub who didn’t delay getting onto the scoresheet.

Half time score Summerhill 1-5 to 0-4.
Skyrne scored two quick points on the re start but Summerhill rallied on the 8th minute with an excellent point from the in – form Micheál Byrne. A free from Liam Shaw and two well worked points from Dardis had Summerhill well and truly in control of this match ..David Larkin’s goal increased their lead mid way through this half 2-10 to 0-6.
Stephen Husband , Caolan Young and John Lavelle put in a fine shift for the defence and Skyrne failed to score for most of the second half,in hindsight they will probably regret their unconverted possession . John Lyons men took their chances and pushed on time and time agin to win this game .
