3rd min - Paul Comey dropped his free-kick into the penalty area. It was fisted out to Paul Rispin who fired over the first score of the game. 0-1, 0-0.

Paul Rispin was the hill's top scorer all year and caused opposing defences nightmares!

5th min - Shane Clarke levelled the scores with an easy free. 0-1, 0-1.

6th min - Joe Sheridan pointed a free to put Seneschalstown in front. 0-1, 0-2.

9th min - Willie Milner kicked a long ball forward. Paul Comey knocked it down to Alan Foley. He kicked kicked it over the bar to level the sides again. 0-2, 0-2.

Alan Foley made a high scoring contribution in the final.

10th min - Alan Foley was fouled and Paul Comey pointed the resulting free from 50 yards out. 0-3, 0-2.

Paul Comey was lethal near the goals and tormented the Seneschalstown defence!

11th min - Paul Rispin ran 50 yards and was eventually fouled on the right side. He pointed the free himself with his left foot. 0-4, 0-2.

16th min - Damian Byrne kicked a good point from 40 yards to give Summerhill a three point lead. 0-5, 0-2.

18th min - A high ball came into the Summerhill penalty area. It was fisted out to Damien Sheridan who buried his shot in the bottom left corner past Tony McDonnell. 0-5, 1-2.

21st min - Damian Byrne kicked a long free-kick from midfield. Tommy Lynch flicked the ball onto Paul Comey who fed it to Alan Foley. He kicked over an excellent point. Summerhill regained the lead. 0-6, 1-2.

Tommy Lynch worked very hard in attack for the 'hill.

22nd min - Joe Macken levelled the scores again with a nice point from the left. 0-6, 1-3.

23rd min - Joey Farrell took a short free to Damien Byrne. He passed the ball to Maurice Kennedy who slipped it inside to Tommy Lynch. He was surrounded by defenders but managed to find Brian Ennis and he pointed with his left foot. 0-7, 1-3.

Brian Ennis' scoring ability was a major factor in the hill's success.

26th min - Damien Sheridan kicked a good point from 40 yards out. 0-7, 1-4.

27th min - Joe Sheridan kicked over a free to put Seneschalstown in front. 0-7, 1-5.

28th min - Damian Byrne went on a long run and was fouled. Paul Rispin pointed the resulting free from the right wing. 0-8, 1-5.

29th min - Tony McDonnell fouled Joey Macken and Shane Clarke scored the free-kick. 0-8, 1-6.

Tony McDonnell was a very consistent goalkeeper all year for the hill.

31st min - Mark Gleeson scored the last point of the first-half from the left side. 0-8, 1-7.

Half-time score-line: Summerhill 0-8, Seneschalstown 1-7. Seneschalstown were 15 minutes in the dressing-room at half-time and had the Summerhill players waiting on the pitch. Summerhill coach, Pauric Lyons gathered his players in a huddle on the field which lifted the Summerhill players and supporters!

1st min - Straight from the throw-in Maurice Kennedy went on a long solo run and was fouled in front of the goals. Paul Comey tapped over the resulting free. 0-9, 1-7.

Maurice Kennedy was brilliant in the final and the replay.

3rd min - Substitute Stephen Kennedy replaced Joey Farrell for Summerhill.

4th min - Joe Sheridan scored a nice left footed point for Seneschalstown. 0-9, 1-8.

8th min - Seneschalstown stretched their lead when Joe Sheridan knocked over another easy free. 0-9, 1-9.

Stephen Kennedy was super-sub all year but earned a starting place in the final replay.

9th min - Tony McDonnell's kickout was fisted on by Damian Byrne to Paul Rispin. He did a nice 'one-two' with Paul Comey and Rispin was fouled. Paul Comey scored the free from 30 yards. 0-10, 1-9.

10th min - Brian Ennis passed it to Paul Rispin. He weaved inside four Seneschalstown defenders before kicking a great point. 0-11, 1-9.

11th min - Connie McGrath made a superb catch in defence for Summerhill as Seneschalstown put on the pressure.

15th min - Conor Foley won the race for possession of the ball. The ball ended up with Stephen Kennedy who was fouled. Paul Comey scored the equaliser from the left corner. 0-12, 1-9.

Conor Foley had a difficult task in the final but was always up to it, excellent defender.

18th min - Brian Comey made a great interception for the 'hill as Seneschalstown pressed forward. Robert Ruddy put them in front with a point. 0-12, 1-10.

20th min - Damien Sheridan scored a point just inside the post. 0-12, 1-11.

23rd min - Joe Sheridan put a goal between the teams with a point. 0-12, 1-12.

26th min - Seneschalstown substitute Gary Conlon was sent off for an off the ball incident on Paul Rispin.

27th min - Seneschalstown looked to have secured the win when Joe Sheridan kicked a massive point from 50 yards out. 0-12, 1-13.

29th min - Alan Foley pointed from the right wing. It looked like only a consolation score for Summerhill as stoppage time approached!

31st min - Summerhill needed a goal as seconds remained! Alan Foley was fouled in the right corner. Paul Rispin took the free. He delightfully lobbed it into the penalty area and Summerhill captain, Damian Byrne jumped highest to punch the ball into the back of the net! GOAL for Summerhill!! The Summerhill supporters (who outnumbered their opposing fans by about 3:1) went wild! A draw!

Captain, Damian Byrne was inspirational in the final and scored the late late goal to draw the tie.

3rd min - Damian Byrne was fouled late after he kicked the ball. Paul Comey pointed the resulting free from in front of the goals. 0-1, 0-0.

5th min - Joe Sheridan levelled the scores with a simple free from 14 metres. 0-1, 0-1.

9th min - Willie Milner's long ball found Maurice Kennedy. He slipped it into Alan Foley who found Brian Ennis on the right wing. From a very tight angle he pointed. 0-2, 0-1.

Willie Milner was outstanding in the replay, a solid defender.

11th min - Seneschalstown midfielder, Robert Ruddy was eventually booked for a foul on Willie Milner and his constant fouling tactics since the throw-in.

13th min - Joe Sheridan scored his second free in front of the goals. 0-2, 0-2.

15th min - Paul Comey was fouled and converted the free himself. 0-3, 0-2.

16th min - The Seneschalstown kick-out was caught by Alan Foley and he raced forward to score a fine individual point from 30 yards for Summerhill. 0-4, 0-2.

17th min - Alan Foley passed to Maurice Kennedy who powered through the defence and blasted a super point for Summerhill. 0-5, 0-2.

Richie Hatton was a consistent defender all year for the hill, very dependable.

19th min - Joe Sheridan turned Conor Foley and ran 30 yards before blasting a great goal for Seneschalstown. Draw match! 0-5, 1-2.

20th min - Paul Rispin was fouled and Paul Comey converted the free. 0-6, 1-2.

21st min - David Byrne levelled the sides again with a point. 0-6, 1-3.

22nd min - Willie Milner kicked a high ball into the forward line. Paul Comey made a magnificent catch and high kick between the posts to regain the lead for the 'hill. 0-7, 1-3.

23rd min - Damian Byrne played a nice ball into Paul Comey. He got a bang on the head, stopped with the ball .... and then kicked another beautiful point. 0-8, 1-3.

24th min - Paul Rispin passed to Alan Foley who was fouled. Paul Comey scored the free. 0-9, 1-3.

26th min - Brian Comey intercepted a Seneschalstown clearance and it came to Brian Ennis. He turned nicely and kicked a great point with his left foot. 0-10, 1-3.

Brian Comey had a great year and made the corner back position his own.

27th min - Paul Comey took a sideline kick to Brian Ennis. He turned and kicked another great score from 50 yards on the left wing to stretch Summerhill's lead. 0-11, 1-3.

33rd min - Joey Macken scored a close range point to keep Seneschalstown in touch on the stroke of half-time.

Half-time score-line: Summerhill 0-11, Seneschalstown 1-4.

1st min - Damian Byrne caught the throw-in for Summerhill and ran straight for the opposing goal. He ran 40 yards before kicking an inspirational point. 0-12, 1-4.

3rd min - Damian Byrne took a short '45' to Brian Ennis. He dummied inside before kicking another lovely point for Summerhill. 0-13, 1-4.

Cathal Ennis battled hard and set up numerous attacks for the hill.

4th min - Shane Clarke scored a free from 30 yards for Seneschalstown. 0-13, 1-5.

8th min - Brian Clarke scored another point for Seneschalstown. 0-13, 1-6.

9th min - Referee, Cormac O'Reilly was making a number of bad decisions. Conor Foley was judged to have fouled Damien Sheridan. Shane Clarke scored the free. 0-13, 1-7.

11th min - Tommy Lynch passed the ball into Brian Ennis. He gave it to Alan Foley who scored an important point for Summerhill. 0-14, 1-7.

12th min - Maurice Kennedy was wrestled to the ground in defence but no free-kick was given! The ball came to Damien Sheridan who scored with his left foot. 0-14, 1-8.

14th min - Another bad decision by the referee gave Seneschalstown another free 50 yards out. Joe Sheridan struck it brilliantly over the crossbar to put 2 points in it. 0-14, 1-9.

16th min - Joey Farrell replaced Tommy Lynch for Summerhill.

Joey Farrell played a big part in the success all year.

17th min - Joey Farrell and Conor Gleeson were nudging each other in front of the stand while play was stopped. Gleeson dived to the ground resulting in another incredible decision by referee, O'Reilly, and his linesman, Noel Martin. Joey Farrell was sent off!

19th min - Paul Rispin was through on goal before David Byrne wrestled him to the ground. Byrne was booked and Paul Comey missed the resulting free.

21st min - Damian Byrne passed the ball into Paul Comey. He slipped it over to Alan Foley who blasted over the bar to put a goal between the teams. 0-15, 1-9.

24th min - Finian Loughrey came on for Stephen Kennedy for Summerhill.

Finian Loughrey was unlucky not to start in the final but was exceptional all year.

25th min - There was some tense moments for Summerhill but the defence done their job excellently, the highlight was a great catch in defence by Connie McGrath.

Connie McGrath didn't give his opponents much all year, excellent defender.

27th min - Shane Clarke tapped over a free-kick to put 2 points in the game. 0-15, 1-10.

32nd min - Tony McDonnell's kick-out was caught by Paul Comey who released it to Maurice Kennedy. He went on a run before handpassing the ball over to Alan Foley. He slotted the ball over the bar. The huge Summerhill support went crazy! 0-16, 1-10.

34th min - The final whistle sounded! Summerhill had won the Under 21 Championship crown for the second time in their history!

Subs. Joey Farrell for Lynch, Finian Loughrey for S.Kennedy.

Others on the winning squad were;

Stephen McDonnell started the first championship match but was unlucky through injury.

Brian Byrne and Peter McGlynn both made appearances in earlier rounds.

Rob Ardiff and Gerard Gorman were 2 good defenders fighting for their place in the team.

Aidan Foley and Taz Lynch were always prepared to step in when called upon.
